Faigin's "Colony" paintings  reflect his sustained inquiry into the space between observation and invention. These provocative images offer a visually striking satire on humanity’s impulse to transplant familiar lifestyles into alien environments. 1950s bungalows with manicured lawns and pastel facades appear improbably set against the barren landscapes of distant planets. Playful and unsettling in equal measure, the Colony series captures Faigin’s characteristic blend of humor, imagination, and social critique.
